Drafter for Point Cloud Feature Extraction and BIM

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Drafter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drawing and feature extraction from point clouds generated by Mobile Mapping Systems (MMS) laser scanning and have experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM).

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and process point cloud data extracted from MMS laser scanning.
• Perform feature extraction and create detailed drawings based on the point cloud data.
• Develop and manage Building Information Models (BIM) from point cloud data.
• Ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings, extracted features, and BIM models.
• Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and other team members to meet project requirements.
• Utilize specialized software for point cloud processing, feature extraction, and BIM (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Leica Cyclone).
• Maintain organized records and documentation of all work performed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Drafter, preferably in the geospatial, surveying, or construction industry.
• Proficiency in point cloud processing, feature extraction, and BIM.
• Experience with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Leica Cyclone, Trimble Business Center).
• Strong understanding of MMS laser scanning technology.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Degree or certification in drafting, surveying, geomatics, architecture, or a related field is preferred.
