Surveyor

Responsibilities :

• • Performing field calculations to verify horizontal and vertical angles, elevations and field adjustments of survey equipment

   

  • Operation and/or adjustment of optical and electronic theodolites, electronic distance meters, total stations, automatic levels, level rods, tripods, tribrachs and measuring tapes;
  • Performing field procedures for traversing, leveling, taping, prolonging a line and setting points on lines and curves;
  • Note keeping for traverses, levels, topographic points, profiles, cross sections and field sketches;
  • Digital coding and collection;
  • Use of GPS receiver/navigator;
  • Set up of survey instrument and survey markers accurately/timely;
  • Familiarity with digital conventional survey instruments;
  • Ability to measure horizontal and vertical distance utilizing tape;
  • Legible and clear note keeping of survey sketches and data;
  • Driving license with off-road driving skill
  • Ability to read maps/sketches with a given scale
  • ability in obtaining good results with measuring equipment, such as Wild T 2002 theodolite, short and medium range electronic distance meters and total stations, such as Leica TC 1800 + DI 3000 + GRE-3 Data Collector and GPS systems, such as Leica SR 530, Trimble 4800 series
